Call for presentations

APNIC and CNNIC are looking for informational presentations with interesting and topical operational content that will benefit the larger Internet community. If you would like to contribute, here are some potential topics for you to consider:

  • Four-byte AS numbers
  • IPv6 real world experiences
  • ISP and carrier services such as:
    • Fibre to the home (FTTH) and other 'all optical' deployments
    • Large network deployments
    • Next Generation telephony

Guidelines for presenters

APNIC seeks technical operational content. Marketing and commercial content is not allowed within the APNIC program.

APNIC preloads all speakers' slides on a dedicated laptop from which speakers present their slides. The use of a single dedicated laptop reduces time delays between presenters that would otherwise occur as speakers try to connect their own laptops to the projector.

Deadlines

  • Submissions for presentation ideas close: 31 July 2009
  • Presentation slides due: 14 August 2009
  • Final presentation slides due: 17:00 the day before your presentation

Note: APNIC understands that speakers may need to make minor updates to their slides between the 14 August deadline and presentation at the meeting. The 17:00 deadline allows APNIC to preload all presentations on to the dedicated presentation laptop. If final slides are not received by 17:00 the day before your presentation, APNIC reserves the right to remove your presentation from the program agenda.

How to submit your proposal

Send a brief summary of your proposed presentation (two to four paragraphs) or a set of presentation slides to: program@apnic.net
