Biographical info:	Vinh Ngo has nearly 20 years of experienced in IT industry mainly in network and security, gaining a wide and diversified range of experienced in both technical and management areas. Vinh has hold many senior management position including APNIC EC, company director, general manager, IT manager and National Manager Network Security for CSC Australia (http://www.csc.com/). Vinh has dealing experienced in Financial, Banking, State and federal government sector clients and multinational companies i.e.: MAYBANK, AIA, BHP Billiton, Allianz, Xstrata, etc... He involves in design and implementation of IT infrastructures for clients in Australia and Asia Pacific (Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong etc) from regional to global implementation. He manages the strategic IT operation of Network Security. Vinh graduated from Curtin University in Australia with a degree Bachelor of Computer Science. Prior to his graduation Vinh joined the department of Exploration Geophysics as a researcher applied IT to Oil and Gas explorations. Vinh start his career at Curtin University as a research scientist, it spanned for four years, enable him to complete his research and present his paper (Applied computing to Seismic modelling) at IASTED (The International Association of Science and Technology for Development http://www.iasted.org/ ) in Colombo Sri Lanka. Having gaining experience and to play key role in the development of IT technology in the field of Geophysics at both theory and technical level. Vinh then moves on to become National IT manager for an ISP, Commerce Australia Pty Ltd (http://www.ca.com.au/). Vinh managed the ISP business with offices in every major city in Australia. Again, the new roll provides Vinh a wealth of experienced in IT and company management and technical development of the Internet community. In his new role Vinh begin his active involvement with APNIC in 1999. After four years working for Commerce Australia Mr Ngo moved on to Sydney to accept a new role as General Manager for a multinational company with offices in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore. Vinh is married; he has a son and a daughter.

Motiviation:	Vinh has actively contributed constructive ideas and provided valuable time and support to the APNIC organisation for many years. In 2003, Vinh was elected as the Executive Council of APNIC at the APRICOT conference in Malaysia. He has a proven track record of experienced at policy development gained both Australia and internationally. Vinh was involved in the UN-WSIS workshop in Geneva June 2005, Prepcom-3 Geneva in June and Sept 2005 and finally the UN World Summit on Information Society at Tunis Nov 2005. Vinh has experienced in IT management and technical experienced and he is well suited for the position.

Nominee statement

I feel honoured to be nominated again for the APNIC EC election.

I had been working with APNIC for more than 10 years now since 1999.

I had the honour of being elected to APNIC EC during APNIC meeting in Kuala Lumpur Feb 2004.

I lasted served APNIC EC on Feb 2008 due to sudden illness, I was not able to attend and represent myself for nomination again at APNIC 25 in Taipei.

I attend almost every APNIC and APRICOT meeting ever since

I hope to represent the voice of the smaller monitory members.

I live and work in Sydney Australia. Australia is a multicultural country, living in Australia help to train myself to work well with other from different background especially with Asia.

I have strong understanding of business management and hand on IT management. I have experience in managing cost and managing IT resources.

If successful, I would use my time and experienced to contribute to APNIC and its members and be readily to listen members if they have any issues/suggestion on APNIC maters.
