Countering Security Risks at ccTLD Level and SSR

Presented by Jay Rajasekera (International University of Japan) [bio] & Suvashis Das (Nagaoka University of Technology, Niigata, Japan) [bio]

The expansion of Internet into business and government at unprecedented levels had brought the vulnerability of it as a major concern to the respective parties.

Internet security is even been viewed at the level of national security in some countries. The ccTLD security, which may affect all the domains in an entire country, is therefore of prime importance. There are various factors that may affect this phenomenon of insecurity. Among them are 1) how well informed about threats the end users are, 2) what kind of technology is being used by the ccTLD, and 3) how often maintenance and reassessment of current defense policy is done and so on.
