Taj Mahal

Agra

One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal stands as India's symbol of eternal love. The Taj Mahal was built by the 5th Mughal emperor Shah Jehan in 1631, in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The construction took 22 years to complete. It is situated approx. 200 kms from Delhi and is accessible by car, train, and air.

APNIC 33 and APRICOT 2012 delegates are invited to a tour of Agra. The cost is USD 120 and includes an English speaking guide, driver's reward, state taxes, parking charges, toll tax, entry to Taj Mahal, lunch, and water bottle and wafers.

The car used will be a Toyota Innova which sits 4 passengers + 1 guide + driver (total 6).

Application for a Conference Visa

Please note the requirements below may vary in different countries. Please visit your country's homepage at the Ministry of External Affairs to find out more about the specific requirements for your country.

If you require a visa to India, please tick the box during the registration process to receive an Invitation Letter.

Conference visa requirements

Passport requirements: You must submit an original, signed passport, valid for at least six months, that has at least two blank pages for Indian visa stamps. Amendment pages are not acceptable for visa stamps.

Indian visa application form: Please refer to the nearest Indian embassy in your region for the form.

Photo requirements: Two recent 2x2 inch photographs, in color, front view, and with a plain or light background. Do not wear glasses in the photo. Do not staple the photos to the application.

Proof of residential address: Please refer to your local embassy for the correct document. The address on this document must match the address on your visa application form.

Official nomination: An official letter is required from the organization which nominated the applicant (you) to attend the Conference.

Other documents (to be provided by the host, ISPAI):

  • Invitation letter from the Conference organizer
  • Clearance letter from the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs
  • Clearance letter from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs
  • Clearance letter from the Ministry that holds jurisdiction over the Conference

Special clearance requirements

Participants from Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, China, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Pakistan, and other foreign participants of Pakistani origin, please note the following:

Prior authorization from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs will be required. ISPAI will forward these requests to the above Ministries upon receiving registration and payment. An invitation letter will be sent to the registrants as they are cleared. Please allow 20-30 days for this process.

If the request is not granted by the Indian authorities, registration payment will be refunded.
